Jaroslav Čermák (*1st August 1830 – †23rd April 1878) was a Czech painter working in München and since 1857 in France. His early work of romanticist idealized heroism (pictures Wounded Duke /Raněný vojvoda/, Hussits at Naumburg /Husité pod Naumburgem/, Czech lands after the Bílá hora battle /Čechy po Bílé hoře/) changes under the influence French painting into realistic painting of still lives and portraits (Still life with fish /Zátiší s rybami/).
